DRA PAT Testing is the new name for DRA Electricals. DRA Electricals was established in 2009 by Richard Ayre, in Seaham, Co. Durham.

Originally the company conducted all electrical services, but since 2010 has specialised in In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Appliances AKA PAT testing.

In the past 2 years the company has grown from strength to strength and is now regarded as a leading provider or Portable Appliance Testing.

Richard is qualified to 17th Edition, Part P and Pat Testing.

The business has Public Liability Insurance of £2,million and is a member of the Association of Professional Appliance Testers.

PAT Testing conducted by DRA is usually carried out by Richard, unless this is not possible, and the client will be informed of the engineer who will carry out the work.

Richard is passionate about PAT Testing, and feels that it is a big important area for health & safety often overlooked by business and Richard feels it’s important the business community is educated in the benefits of what used to be known as Portable Appliance Testing. As a result of this belief Richard is a member of, and supporter of the Association of Professional Appliance Testers.
